Participant Films win IDA and Film Critics Awards

LOS ANGELES (December 7, 2015) – It was a big weekend for Participant Media films, which won 17 awards and picked up three more this morning.

At the International Documentary Association (IDA) awards on Saturday, The Look of Silence won Best Feature; and Best of Enemies won Best Music and the ABC News VideoSource Award (for best use of news footage).

Boston, Los Angeles and New York Film critics announced their award winners on Sunday. Spotlight, The Look of Silence, and Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies) took home awards. Earlier today, Washington, D.C. Film Critics named Idris Elba Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Beasts; and awarded Spotlight Best Picture and Best Ensemble.

Also this morning, Beasts of No Nation and 3 1/2 Minutes, Ten Bullets were included in the African-American Film Critics Association’s list of of top 10 films of 2015.
