IMPACT

Impact

The campaign raised more than $130K for harm reduction partners, uplifted the advocacy efforts of New York City’s overdose prevention centers, and pressured holdout institutions to reject the Sackler family’s reputation laundering.

Campaign support for the harm reduction movement helped result in Oxford cutting ties with the Sackler family, Harvard reviewing the name of its Sackler Art Museum, the MAT Act being signed into law, the opioid reversal drug Narcan receiving approval for over-the-counter sale, and models of treatment grounded in harm reduction gaining additional cultural capital.

All the Beauty and the Bloodshed opened to great critical acclaim, becoming the second documentary ever to win a Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival as well as earning an Academy Award® nomination for Best Documentary Feature, among many other accolades.
