Inspired by MTV News, Meghan McCain Launches Millennial-Friendly Show

She’s been on the campaign trail and done the cable news thing, so it’s not surprising that Meghan McCain’s new TV show “Raising McCain” would be a blend of the two.

“I felt like more interesting conversations were being held in the green room, or in the car on the way to the event, or in the hotel room afterward,” McCain told Whispers. “I thought it would be a cool idea to do a talk show, but it would film kind of like a reality show or a documentary.”

Thus “Raising McCain,” which debuts Saturday at 10 p.m. on the new Pivot television network, blends both television styles. The star is McCain, a pundit, author and the daughter of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. And in every episode, she and her team tackle a different topic – from modern feminism to millennial veterans.
