‘The Wave’ Production from Sebastián Lelio Wraps
April 10, 2024 – Secret new film from Academy ® Award winning director Sebastián Lelio has wrapped production!
The Wave is Inspired by the mass protests and university rallies that took place during the so-called “feminist May” in 2018 which created an iconic moment in the Chilean consciousness and reverberated across the world.
The Wave is a musical co-written by Lelio, Manuela Infante, Josefina Fernández, and Paloma Salas, with original musical compositions created collaboratively by 17 female Chilean musicians including Ana Tijoux, Camila Moreno and Javiera Parra, as well as the film’s award-winning composer, Matthew Herbert.
