Pivot Promotes Jennie Morris to EVP Acquisitions, Research, and Network Operations

LOS ANGELES (March 6, 2015) – Participant Media’s television network, Pivot, today announced the promotion of Jennie Morris to executive vice president, Acquisitions, Research, and Network Operations. Morris will continue to be based out of Pivot’s Los Angeles office and will report to Pivot General Manager Kent Rees.

In her new role, Morris will oversee the network’s research and network operations in addition to scheduling, feature film, documentary, and off-net series acquisitions.

During her tenure at Pivot, the channel has licensed and acquired high-profile films and documentaries such as It Happened Here and That Which I Love Destroys Me that have been key in enabling Pivot to drive action through programming. Through Morris’ guidance, the network, which has seen steady viewership growth, continuously analyzes viewer data in order to adjust the schedule to changing viewer habits.

Rees commented: “Jennie has been instrumental in helping to grow Pivot over the past 18 months. She is the rare executive that has both the ability to bring an analytical eye to the programming lineup and a creative eye for what will appeal to our audience.”

Morris is a seasoned television executive with over 15 years of experience in domestic and international programming and marketing. Prior to joining Pivot, Morris held the position of vice president of Affiliate Marketing for AMC/Sundance Channel Global, supervising trade, consumer and affiliate marketing activities. Prior to that, she was senior director of Program Planning and Scheduling for Sundance Channel.  Earlier in her career, Morris spent six years at Showtime Networks with roles including senior manager of New Media, senior manager of International Business Development, and supervisor of Scheduling.
