Pivot Greenlights Season Two Of Eco-Adventure Series ‘The Operatives’

LOS ANGELES (January 30, 2015) – Participant Media’s television network, Pivot, announced today at RealScreen Summit in Washington D.C. that the popular series, “The Operatives,” has received a greenlight for season two, with production starting on February 15. Produced by AMO Media Limited, and distributed internationally by Zodiak Rights, the series will follow Pete Bethune and his team of extreme conservationists as they expose the world’s worst eco-offenders.

“We are thrilled to announce that Pete Bethune and his operatives will again be back in action this year, addressing imminent threats to our wildlife and environment,” said Belisa Balaban, EVP of Original Programming for Pivot. “‘The Operatives’ is an edge of your seat adventure series with a serious message and a call to take action.”

In the second season of “The Operatives,” Bethune and crew will set up all-new covert operations to combat suspected illegal activities endangering wildlife and the environment. “The Operatives” will explore rhino extinction, orangutan habitat loss, and illegal turtle smuggling.

These are just a few of the missions that will be seen on the second season of “The Operatives.” Continuing Participant Media’s mission of entertainment that inspires change, the show will again team up with leading NGOs who are tackling related issues and offer viewers ways to learn more and take action. The first season of “The Operatives” generated over 176,000 actions to end seal clubbing, shark finning, and help prevent sea turtle extinctions.
