Participant’s ‘Stillwater’ Selected for Official 2021 Cannes Film Festival
Director Tom McCarthy’s newest upcoming film Stillwater has been selected to screen Out of Competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival slated for July.
From the Academy Award-winning filmmaker Tom McCarthy (Spotlight) and starring Oscar-winner Matt Damon, Stillwater tells the nuanced story of a father trying to free his daughter (played by Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin) from a French prison, making new connections in Marseilles and navigating a different culture and city.
