Participant Media Expands Social Action & Advocacy Division To Increase Digital And NGO Engagement

Uzeta to oversee Television and Digital Initiatives; Stoner to Lead Film Campaigns; Lindstrom upped to Social Action Development
Participant Media Executive Vice President, Social Action & Advocacy Chad Boettcher announced the expansion of its Social Action Division, naming Jaime Uzeta as Senior Vice President, Television and Digital Social Action and Alden Stoner as Vice President, Film Social Action. Uzeta’s focus will include oversight of all engagement initiatives for TakePart, Participant’s digital platform, and its YouTube channel, TakePart TV, which will launch in September.  Stoner will lead the development and execution of Participant’s film-related social action and advocacy campaigns. 
“Participant is expanding its multiplatform approach to creating social impact, and as we increase our original content output in both TV and new media, it was the right time to bring onboard executives with expertise designing campaigns to activate audiences,” said Boettcher. “Jaime has worked at the intersection of media and social change for over a decade, with experience spanning corporate, nonprofit and government sectors, so he is well-equipped to lead this initiative. Alden’s extensive background in entertainment marketing and strategy for major brands makes her the ideal choice to oversee our film related social action campaigns.”
Uzeta most recently led growth strategy and development for GreatSchools, where he partnered with groups such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Univision, and helped pioneer a groundbreaking e-learning product to help parents guide their children to success in school.  Prior to GreatSchools, Uzeta developed marketing strategies for consulting clients like CNN, designed Emmy award-winning, pro-social initiatives while at MTV, and held political positions at the White House and the Departments of Treasury and Commerce. He is a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and currently serves on the national board of Public Allies, a youth leadership development organization.
Stoner ran the promotion and film departments at Davie Brown, where she was responsible for multi-million dollar promotional campaigns including Mountain Dew’s Transformers program, and most recently co-founded the comedy cloud television network start-up, Bark. For the past seven years, she has served on the board of directors at Open Spaces, Sacred Places, a foundation committed to funding publicly accessible urban green space in stressed environments across the US.  
In addition, Christina Lindstrom, who first joined Participant in June 2007 as Manager, Social Action, has been promoted to Senior Director, Social Action – Business Development and Strategy, where she is responsible for leading the team’s impact evaluation, analyzing all qualitative and quantitative Social Action metrics, and providing impact strategy for the company’s film, TV and digital campaigns.
