September 29, 2023 – Congratulations to the Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power team for winning the Outstanding Research: Documentary at last night’s News and Documentary Emmy(R) Awards!
Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power tells the story of the local movement and young organizers from the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) who fought not just for voting rights — but for Black Power in Alabama.
