‘Lincoln’ Leads 2013 Critics Choice Award Nominations
The Broadcast Film Critics Association have announced the nominations the 18th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” dominated with a record-setting 13 nominations. The film took nods for best picture, director, adapted screenplay, editing, art direction, costume design, cinematography, makeup, and score, as well as acting nominations for Daniel Day-Lewis, Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field.
Tom Hooper’s “Les Miserables” and David O. Russell’s “Silver Linings Playbook” were next in line with 11 and 10 nominations, respectively, including best picture. The three films were joined in that race by “Argo,” “Beasts of the Southern Wild,” “Django Unchained,” “Life of Pi,” “The Master,” “Moonrise Kingdom” and “Zero Dark Thirty.”
