Kew Media Distribution and Participant Confirm New Distribution Partnership

London, October 2, 2019 – Leading global distributor Kew Media Distribution (KMD), part of Kew Media Group, has today signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Participant, the leading media company dedicated to entertainment that inspires audiences to engage in positive social change. The deal grants KMD global television and digital rights to limited new projects from LA-based Participant, across documentary and narrative feature films, alongside award-winning content from Participant’s library. 

Participant, the company behind such Academy Award®-winning films as Spotlight, Green Book and Roma, was founded in 2004 by Jeff Skoll and has expanded into a multi-platform company that produces impact campaigns alongside its content designed to accelerate the reach and impact of solutions to the world’s most pressing issues.

Participant Titles listed in the deal include Oscar®-nominated documentary Food, Inc.; Emmy Award® nominee Pressure Cooker; Sundance Award winners 3 ½ Minutes, 12 Bullets and Circumstance; SXSW Festival winner The Great Invisible; and The World According to Sesame Street. 

The deal was negotiated on behalf of Participant by Krista Wegener, Participant’s EVP of Sales and Distribution, and Danice Woodley, SVP of Business and Legal Affairs for Participant.
