Gillian Sheldon To Head Marketing At Participant Media’s Takepart.com

LOS ANGELES (January 16, 2015) – Participant Media’s TakePart (http://www.takepart.com), announced today that digital marketing pioneer Gillian Sheldon has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Marketing, to oversee marketing efforts for the growing digital magazine and social action platform for the conscious consumer. This newly created position bolsters editorial operations of the site, which has doubled traffic in the last year, and now reaches nearly seven million unique visitors monthly (according to comScore MediaMetrix).

Sheldon joins TakePart from Sony Pictures Television where she was Supervising Producer, Digital for “The Queen Latifah Show.” Prior to that, she held senior positions in marketing and promotions at Berman Braun, Buzzmedia, and Warner Bros. Telepictures, where she helped launch TMZ.com and TMZ TV.

As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sheldon will oversee marketing for the growing site, including branding, advertising, community management, social media, and promotions.
