Kahlil Gibran’s timeless prose has been given enchanting new form in this breathtaking animated adventure about freedom and the power of human expression.

Set in a Mediterranean seaside village, Kamila cleans house for exiled artist and poet Mustafa, but the more difficult job is keeping her free-spirited young daughter Almitra out of trouble. The three embark on a journey meant to end with Mustafa’s return home – but first they must evade the authorities who fear the truth in his words. Written and directed by Roger Allers (The Lion King), with stunning poetic sequences designed and directed by acclaimed animation directors from around the world, including Oscar®-nominated director Bill Plympton and Oscar®-winning directors Tomm Moore and Joan Gratz.

Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet features the voices of Liam Neeson, Salma Hayek-Pinault, Quvenzhané Wallis, John Krasinski, Frank Langella and Alfred Molina, and boasts a score composed by Gabriel Yared, with additional music by songwriters Damien Rice, Glen Hansard and Lisa Hannigan, and Grammy®-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Producers are Salma Hayek-Pinault, Clark Peterson, José Tamez and Ron Senkowski.
