Cineflix Rights Signs International Distribution Deal with Pivot
September 3, 2015 – Among the existing titles in the deal are: Emmy® Award-winning “Hit Record on TV with Joseph Gordon-Levitt” (Seasons 1 and 2, 16×30’, Brian Graden Media and hitRECord), a new kind of variety show where host, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, directs a global online community of artists to create a uniquely entertaining series. Each installment of the critically acclaimed show focuses on a different theme and features short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation, and more.
“Secret Lives of Americans” (10×30’, All3Media America and MME/Filmpool USA) takes an unflinching and intimate look at people’s lives as they divulge their most powerful secrets to people closest to them in their lives. Completely self-shot using cameras, cell phones, and laptops by its subjects, this series gives viewers a firsthand opportunity to see and hear the inner turmoil caused by holding on to deep secrets. The intimacy of the format provides an unfiltered look at the aftermath of exposing these powerful truths to friends, family, significant others, co-workers, teachers and mentors. Each of the ten featured individuals overcome a unique personal obstacle in revealing their secret, with their on-camera confessions being a first step in helping them each move forward.
“Human Resources” (Seasons 1 and 2, 20×30’, Left/Right) follows TerraCycle, an innovative company whose mission is to ‘eliminate the idea of waste’. The comedy docu-series showcases the company’s groundbreaking work to come up with bigger and better ways of transforming ‘waste’, and the unique, funny, and often awkward social dynamics around the office.
Other titles include docu-series “Freestyle Love Supreme” (10×30’, Ars Nova) the improvisational musical comedy show from Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail, the creative team behind the critically acclaimed musicals “In the Heights” and “Hamilton”; “Welcome to Fairfax” (10×30’, Matador Content), “Jersey Strong” (10×30’, Brick City TV), and docu-talk show “Raising McCain” (10×30’, Go Go Luckey Entertainment).

The international distribution deal with Pivot was brokered by Anthony Kimble, VP Co-Productions and North American Acquisitions for Cineflix Rights, and Jerry Blake for Pivot.
