Fighting Child Poverty Through The Big Screen

Child poverty was the focus Monday night at the unveiling of a new documentary at the Culture Center Auditorium at the State Capitol.

Legislators and local residents came out to watch the first showing in the state of the new documentary dealing with child poverty called A Place at the Table.

The showing was organized and hosted by the Senate Select Committee on Children and Poverty. It was one of several showings in the state meant to raise awareness of the child poverty issue, in particularly hunger, and the impact it has on society.
