Laurie Luh Named Vice President of Human Resources for Participant Media
Laurie Luh has been named Vice President of Human Resources for Participant Media, it was announced by Participant CEO Jim Berk. This elevation reflects the expansion of her responsibilities over the past two years, as she now oversees all aspects of office operations and human resources for Participant, where the staff has increased and the intern program continues to grow. Berk said, “This promotion is an acknowledgment of Laurie’s remarkable ability to handle the day-to-day challenges of managing human resources and office operations for a rapidly growing and dynamic company with skill and grace.” Luh joined Participant in July 2004, and most recently served as Senior Director, Human Resources. Luh began her career at MBNA America Bank in Newark, Delaware where she supported new hire and ongoing education. During this time Fortune magazine ranked MBNA one of the top companies to work for in the United States. Luh also spent time at Fox Broadcasting in Los Angeles where she worked in Current Programming on such shows as House, That ‘70s Show and The Bernie Mac Show. Laurie received her B.A. from the University of Delaware, where she majored in English with a concentration in Film.
