Pivot Names Jennie Morris SVP of Acquisitions and Operations and Jerry Blake SVP of Business and Legal Affairs
NEW YORK (December 11, 2013) – Pivot, Participant Media’s television network targeting Millennials (18-34), has named Jennie Morris as Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Operations and Jerry Blake as Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs. Both will be based out of Pivot’s Los Angeles office with Blake reporting to Jeff Ivers, COO, Participant Media and Evan Shapiro, President, Pivot, and Morris to Kent Rees, EVP, Marketing, Scheduling and Operations.

Jennie has an innate sense of on-brand programming for Pivot that complements our original series and furthers our mission to entertain while inspiring change through engaging content.”
Morris is tasked with expanding Pivot’s slate of on-brand acquisitions, including series, films, documentaries and specials. She is a seasoned television executive with over 14 years of experience in domestic and international programming and marketing. Most recently, Morris held the position of Vice President of Affiliate Marketing for AMC/Sundance Channel Global, supervising trade, consumer and affiliate marketing activities. Prior to that, she was Senior Director of Program Planning and Scheduling for Sundance Channel. Earlier in her career, she spent six years at Showtime Networks with roles including Senior Manager of New Media, Senior Manager of International Business Development and Supervisor of Scheduling.
Blake oversees all business and legal affairs matters relating to Pivot. He joins the company from BBC Worldwide Americas, where he focused on U.S. distribution of BBC America and BBC World News, and digital distribution of BBC programming in North America. Prior to that, Blake was General Counsel of Sundance Channel and held a position at Rainbow Media (now AMC Networks), handling legal affairs for AMC, IFC, WE and Bravo. Additionally, Blake managed legal affairs for financing, production and distribution of IFC Entertainment titles, such as Fahrenheit 9/11, You and Me and Everyone We Know, Transamerica, and Participant Media’s American Gun.
