Critically Acclaimed Docu-Comedy ‘Human Resources’ Returns August 7 on Participant Media’s Pivot
Los Angeles, May 7, 2015 – Pivot, Participant Media’s TV network, announced today that the sophomore season of the network’s critically-acclaimed docu-comedy “Human Resources” will premiere Friday, August 7 at 10PM ET/PT.
Called “spunky” by the New York Times and “refreshing” by USAToday.com, the unscripted series follows New Jersey-based recycling company TerraCycle and its eclectic employees. Out to recycle the “unrecyclables,” TerraCycle CEO Tom Szaky and his irreverently funny and diverse staff continue on their mission to change the world—one cigarette butt, dirty diaper, and toothpaste tube at a time. During the upcoming season, viewers will get a front row seat as Terracycle heads to London to up-cycle coffee pods, build a playground from oral hygiene waste, and most importantly, continue to come up with bigger and better ways of transforming what we consider “trash.” “Human Resources” is produced by Left/Right.
“Human Resources is an unexpected blend of classic workplace comedy within the structure of a process-driven science show,” commented Belisa Balaban EVP Original Programming for Pivot. “It is distinctive and delightful, and it’s a reality show you can feel good about watching.”
Pivot continues its collaboration with Recycle Across America (RAA) on the “Recycle Right” campaign promoting standardized labels to increase recycling and reduce waste. Through the campaign, Sony Electronics Inc. (Sony) adopted the labels to help implement its sustainability initiative at the Sony Open in Hawaii – targeting improved recycling at the event. To help the next generation become better recyclers, Sony donated the standardized labels to all of the public schools in Oahu, Hawaii.
