TIFF Programs ‘Beasts Of No Nation,’ ‘The Danish Girl,’ ‘The Martian,’ ‘Demolition,’ And More

The Toronto International Film Festival celebrates 40 years in 2015, and today they’ve announced the first wave of titles that will be coming in September. As always, there are some big attractions, so let’s dive in.

Netflix gets their awards season prospects hopping by bringing Cary Fukunaga’s “Beasts Of No Nation” to Toronto. Tom Hooper’s “The Danish Girl” starring last year’s Best Actor Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne will screen. Tom McCarthy’s Catholic Church drama “Spotlight” is heading to Canada, Lenny Abrahamson’s “Room” (based on the acclaimed novel and starring Brie Larson) and a new Michael Moore documentary, “Who Should We Invade Next?” are also slated.
