3 Short Films by TakePart Featured in 9/11 Tenth Anniversary Summit

On September 8th, the Center for National Policy and the Voices of September 11th, with support from the Rockefeller Foundation, hosted The 9/11 Tenth Anniversary Summit: Remembrance, Renewal, Resilience.  The daylong summit at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. paid tribute to the people who lost their lives on 9/11, honored the survivors, and recognized the heroic work of those who responded and continue to carry on, demonstrating America’s resilience.  In attendance were dignitaries, political leaders, members of the media, and survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  Speakers included United States Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, Governor Haley Barbour, former Governor Thomas Kean, former Congressman Lee Hamilton, and Dr. Judith Rodin, President of the Rockefeller Foundation. TakePart was asked to produce three short films for yesterday’s Summit, which stand as a great tribute to our work and our creative talent and most importantly, our way of honoring the victims, survivors and heroes of 9/11.   This project was truly a team effort, with special thanks to everyone at TakePart and Participant who supported it along the way – in particular, Chris Gebhardt, Jenna Briand, Carrie Alling, Derek Doneen, Adam Trunell, Buffy Shutt, Gabe Brakin, Matt Randall, Rob Avey and Jeff Chao.
