'The Cove' Petition Delivered to the White House with Over 1 Million Signatures

The Cove director Louie Psihoyos, Dolphin Project director Ric O'Barry, and the TakePart team delivered the petition calling for end to Japan’s dolphin slaughter.
 
Psihoyos, who is also the executive director/founder of OPS, announced that the filmmakers are in negotiations with the Japanese distributor to regain the film’s rights and intend to release The Cove for free in Japan.
 
More than 100 people gathered at the unique outdoor event at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. Several hundred more watched online.
