John Lewis Good Trouble - Title

JOHN LEWIS: GOOD TROUBLE tells the story of Congressman John Lewis, an American hero who has spent his life fighting for voting rights and racial justice. He fought alongside Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the Civil Rights Movement and helped get the Voting Rights Act passed in 1965.

However, our democracy is now under attack. Since 2013, new voter suppression tactics like strict voter ID laws and shortened voting times have intentionally made it difficult for low-income areas and Black people. But you can help. $1.50 will cover postage to help register 1 person to vote in areas where voter suppression laws and online registration systems hit hardest, like North Carolina and Georgia.

$1.50 WILL HELP FIGHT VOTER SUPPRESSION

The fight for equal voting rights is good trouble, necessary trouble.

$1.50 can combat voter suppression and support one more person's ability to register to vote. Register2Vote makes it easy to register voters by sending a pre-filled voter registration form and a stamped envelope to eligible unregistered voters so all they have to do is sign it and drop it in the mail. This system has been used to register thousands of voters since 2018 and we hope to help register many more.

Hover over a region in our interactive map to see counts of unregistered voters for a specific district on the map. Dive in; you can go as specific as the precinct level. See the "Percent Funded" chart to understand how much work we have left to do.

Here's how to use this map:

1. Explore the map.
Hover over a region to see counts of unregistered voters for a specific district on the map. Dive in; you can go as specific as the precinct level. See the "Percent Funded" chart to understand how much work we have left to do.

2. Chip in to help register voters.
For whatever dollar amount you choose to contribute, our automated system will mail registration forms to residents in that region, and our system will update the "Percent Funded" accordingly. That way, you can follow the impact you're making!

3. Voter registration goes into the mail!
We make it as easy as possible, and take all the headache out of the process -- all someone has to do is sign the form, and put it back into the mail using our postage-paid envelope.

4. We track completion.
It's super important that these voter registration forms get exactly where they need to go -- and that's what we do best! Our team not only tracks whether a form has been completed, we track whether it's been received by the elections office. It's the only way to be sure, and we take extra care to ensure that nobody's registration form gets lost in the shuffle.

5. Our team follows up.
Our team tracks the entire process of voter registration, end-to-end. For voters who signed up using our online form, or for those who used MapTheVote to get their neighbors registered, our team will follow up with an SMS message or an email.

6. More voters = Stronger democracy!
Voting is essential to democracy and an effective government. The more people we include, the stronger our democracy!
